You are invited to join the Wood Rush - a unique opportunity to experience a magical cycle ride from Kielder Castle to Leaplish Waterside Park and back, against the backdrop of the night sky through the depths of Kielder Water and Forest Park, one of Northumberland's most stunning and remote locations and one of the region's richest sources of sustainable woodland. On route - at mid point of the 13km trail - cyclists will weave a 2km dreamlike path created by the Northumberland Lights team, a beautiful animation by Britain’s finest visual and auditory outdoor talent along the new Lakeside Way. NEWHeat - an initiative funded by One NorthEast to encourage businesses across the region to switch their heat energy supply to wood heat - is proud to sponsor the Wood Rush.
